"Study abroad for free" is not clickbait - it's a working strategy once you know which programs are genuinely open to international students. Here are the five that matter, with coverage, deadlines and honest odds.

Deadlines calendar
Scholarship season lives in winter: Türkiye Bursları collects applications early in the year (January-February), Stipendium Hungaricum closes mid-January, CSC runs winter-spring, GKS takes graduate applications in February-March and undergraduate in August-September. Translation: prepare documents in autumn - remembering in May doesn't work.
What decides selection
Three things, in order: GPA (most programs want 4.0+ of 5), a concrete motivation letter ("I want to study X with you because Y, and afterwards Z"), and recommendation letters. A language certificate is often optional at application but required at enrollment. Insider note: graduate applicants win more - quotas are bigger and competition softer.
University discounts: the underrated route
While everyone storms the state grants, private universities in Turkey and the UAE hand out 25-75% discounts simply for GPA and early application - no essay contest. A 50-75% Turkish discount often equals a grant in money terms, at several times the probability. We fix the maximum discount in the contract.
Where to start
