EU Business School (Barcelona)

EU Business School is a private business school with campuses in Barcelona, Geneva, Munich and online. The Barcelona campus has about 2,400 students from more than 130 countries, and every programme from foundation to MBA is taught in English.

The key question before paying is which qualification you will hold. The BBA leads to several awards at once: a título propio from UVic-UCC (a university-specific Spanish diploma, not an official state degree), a private degree from EU Business School Switzerland, and a UK state-recognised BA (Hons) from the University of Derby.

• 2026/27 fees: bachelor’s $16,690 (€14,700) a year, master’s $18,570 (€16,350), MSc $19,760 (€17,400), MBA $25,890 (€22,800).
• Good fit: students who want international business in English, without Spanish, and with flexible start dates.
• Less suitable: anyone who needs an official Spanish degree for public-sector work or a regulated profession in Spain.

The Barcelona campus is a registered foreign university centre (number 08073429) authorised by the Government of Catalonia and Spain’s Ministry of Universities, as listed in the RUCT register. Degrees come through partner institutions.

A título propio is a legitimate university award but not the same as an official Spanish grado or máster. If you may later need public employment, recognition in a regulated profession or entry to a programme that demands an official degree, rely on the UK partner degree and check the employer’s or university’s rules early.

Classes take place at Diagonal 648 bis and Ganduxer 70 in Barcelona’s upper city, a business and diplomatic district. There is no enclosed campus: students live in flats and residences across the city.

The school invests in an international community and events, with its Student Experience team running cultural days, networking evenings and trips. That replaces a traditional campus, but students arrange their own housing and daily life.

These are the Barcelona campus’s official prices for the 2026–2027 academic year; the school notes that fees may change, so each year is billed at the current schedule.

On top of tuition come a €200 application fee and a €630 capstone fee on completion. An optional eighth semester leads to a Diploma of Advanced Studies for $8,350 (€7,350).

You apply online and the admissions team then contacts you. The BBA starts four times a year — October, February, June and August — so there is no need to wait for September.

1. Application and €200 fee. Form, document copies and proof of English.
2. Essay or video. About 500 words, or a one- to two-minute video on your motivation.
3. Decision and advance payment. €2,000 for bachelor’s or €3,000 for master’s and MBA; it counts towards tuition, is non-refundable, but can be used for any EU course within three years if you cancel.
4. Visa and housing. The consulate needs the acceptance letter and proof of payment.

Where applicants go wrong

• Choosing on price without checking which award they will need after graduation.
• Picking a February or June start without leaving time for the visa.
• Overlooking that the advance payment cannot be refunded.

Bachelor’s applicants can use IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, Cambridge CAE B2 at 169 or PTE Academic 59. Master’s applicants need the same IELTS, CEFR B2+ or TOEFL 80. A one-term English Foundation is available for students who fall short.

First-year bachelor’s tuition is paid in three instalments: the $2,270 (€2,000) advance, then two semester payments of $7,210 (€6,350). From year two, students pay $8,350 (€7,350) per semester in two instalments.

Spain links the maintenance requirement to the IPREM index: 100% of its monthly value for each month of stay, unless accommodation has been prepaid for the whole period. Tuition money does not count towards this amount.

The school has no halls of its own; campus staff help with housing and visa questions. Students choose private residences, rooms in shared flats or host families.

Prepaying accommodation for the whole stay can help the visa file, because Spanish rules then reduce the funds you must show. Look near Diagonal or metro lines serving the upper city.

For programmes longer than 90 days, Russian citizens need a national study visa followed by a stay-for-studies permit. Beyond the acceptance letter, you need health insurance with a company authorised in Spain and proof of funds.

For stays over six months, adult students also provide a criminal-record certificate. The Spanish consulate, not the school, decides on the visa.
