De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila offers undergraduate programmes in computing, engineering, business and other fields. It runs three academic terms a year, and applicants must rank three programme choices. This profile concerns DLSU with its Taft Avenue campus; requirements from a different institution bearing the De La Salle name cannot be transferred here.
Choose your specialisation before applying
The College of Computer Studies lists three BS Computer Science majors: Software Technology, Network and Information Security, and Computer Systems Engineering. BS Information Systems and BS Information Technology are separate degrees. Compare these with BS Computer Engineering in the engineering college when building a technical shortlist: similar names refer to different programme options.
The engineering catalogue also includes Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering specialising in Mechatronics Engineering. Business options include BS Accountancy and BS Marketing Management. The application form lists the programmes available for the current cycle. DLSU instructs applicants to choose an available alternative if their preferred programme is absent from that list.
Double degrees combine selected liberal arts, business and economics programmes. The current admissions FAQ says these normally take five years and use a combined fee assessment rather than simply doubling a standard single-degree bill.
First-year entry for 2027/28
Eligible first-year applicants include Grade 12 students graduating in 2026/27 and earlier secondary-school graduates who have not taken any college course. The latter upload a Declaration as a New Student. SAT, AP, IB Diploma / Certificate and A-level results can be assessed against DLSU's criteria; international credentials remain subject to university evaluation.
Applicants must list three ranked programme preferences. Programme choices cannot be changed after submission. Compare the curriculum and campus for each choice before committing the ranking in Archers Hub.
The published DCAT application window for 2027/28 ran from 15 July to 30 September 2026 and has closed. For registered applicants, online examinations are scheduled for 27 November, 4 December and 11 December 2026. A compulsory morning mock online test precedes each one, on 25 November, 2 December or 9 December respectively. These examination dates do not extend the application deadline.
For an error or missing document discovered after submission, DLSU directs applicants to its Service Request Ticket Portal. Provide the application number and supporting correction rather than creating another application account. Admission and rejection letters are sent to the registered email address.
First-term tuition and fees
DLSU's official projection for the September 2026 intake, Term 1 of 2026/27, gives these college averages:
| College | Average amount |
|---|---|
| Tuition and fees: Computer Studies | About $1,308 (PHP 82,000), projected average for Term 1, 2026/27. |
| Business | About $1,372 (PHP 86,000) |
| Engineering | About $1,404 (PHP 88,000) |
| Science | About $1,516 (PHP 95,000) |
These are projected first-term college averages, not a personalised international-student invoice or a 2027/28 quotation. DLSU explicitly allows adjustments for academic load, laboratory courses and Foundation or Advanced Placement exemptions.
The academic calendar changes the comparison with Ateneo: DLSU identifies term starts in September, January and May. One term's figure is not an annual price. The separate detailed 2025/26 schedule included an International Student Fee of about $86 (PHP 5,410); it is a component to check in an individual assessment, not a confirmed 2027/28 supplement. Housing, food and travel are outside the academic projection above.
Campus, teaching format and accommodation
The Manila admissions office is at 2401 Taft Avenue. For 2027/28, the university specifies blended learning. An online teaching component does not establish that an entire degree can be completed from another country.
The International Center publishes an off-campus residence guide and a Housing Reservation Form. Start with these resources, then compare the actual property address with your programme's campus: both Manila and Laguna appear in DLSU's admission information. Housing advertised by the separate De La Salle University–Dasmariñas should not be treated as accommodation for this campus.
Explore Ateneo de Manila and UP Diliman for alternatives, or return to the Philippines study guide for the broader relocation context.
Questions before applying
How many programmes do I select in the DLSU application?
Three, ranked as first, second and third preferences. DLSU does not allow changes to programme choices after submission.
Must I travel to Manila for the DCAT?
The published 2027/28 calendar includes online testing for local and international applicants who applied within the deadline. A mock online test is mandatory before the actual examination.
Is PHP 82,000 for Computer Studies an annual price?
No. It is the projected average tuition and fees for Term 1 of 2026/27 for the September 2026 intake. DLSU has three academic terms, and an individual assessment depends on the load and applicable charges.
