Curtin Singapore is the Singapore campus of Curtin University, a public Australian university, and teaches Curtin degrees in business, communications, information technology and health sciences. It operates as a private education institution registered in Singapore and holds EduTrust certification, which it needs to enrol international students. A Bachelor of Commerce costs $53,249 (S$68,016 with GST) in total for international students.
The campus sits in Singapore Science Park II and taught 4,988 students in 2024. The degrees are Curtin University awards, and Singapore is where the teaching happens; the campus is not a separate local university.
A sensible choice if you:
Think twice if you:
The legal operator is Curtin Education Centre, registered with Singapore's regulator for private education (PEI registration 200804822R) from 20 May 2026 to 19 May 2032. Curtin Singapore says it was among the first private education institutions to receive both EduTrust and Enhanced Registration. Singapore's immigration authority, ICA, only issues a Student's Pass to foreigners enrolled at EduTrust-certified institutions.
Curtin University's rankings belong to the whole university. What a Singapore student should check is the course page: its accreditation list, intake months and total fee.
The campus is at 10 Science Park Road, The Alpha, in Singapore Science Park II. Enrolment grew from 2,378 students in 2021 to 4,988 in 2024, so it is a compact campus built around business, communications, IT and health courses.
Undergraduate courses include the Bachelor of Commerce, the Bachelor of Information Technology, the Bachelor of Computing (Cyber Security), communications degrees and nursing programmes for registered nurses. The Bachelor of Commerce has majors in accounting, finance, marketing, management, human resource management, international business and logistics and supply chain management, plus double-major combinations.
The Accounting major covers auditing, taxation, business law and financial management. It is accredited by CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, accredited globally by ACCA and may be recognised by ICAEW in England and Wales, which makes it the strongest choice for students who want a professional accounting route.
At postgraduate level Curtin Singapore offers master's degrees such as the Master of Predictive Analytics (Data Science major) and computing and cyber security masters.
You apply online on the course page, uploading scanned certificates, transcripts with grading descriptions and your passport. Curtin Singapore sends a Letter of Offer by email; once you accept, the Student's Pass application follows through ICA.
| Qualification | Published minimum |

| IELTS Academic | 6.0 overall, 6.0 in each band |
The published cut-off table does not list the Russian or other CIS school certificates, so admissions assesses them individually. Applicants who do not meet direct entry can start with a Curtin College diploma, which is designed to lead into the Curtin degree.
For a February 2027 start, apply in autumn 2026 so the offer, deposit and Student's Pass fit before the trimester; the July and November intakes suit students finishing school in June.
Undergraduate commerce needs IELTS 6.0 with no band below 6.0. Diploma pathway programmes start from IELTS 5.5, and TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and other tests have their own equivalents on the English prerequisites page. Tests must be taken within two years of applying.
Frequent mistakes:
| Item | Amount | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Bachelor of Commerce, international | $48,852 (S$62,400) before GST; $53,249 (S$68,016) with GST | whole course, six trimester instalments; indicative for 2026 intakes |
| Bachelor of Computing (Cyber Security), international | $48,852 (S$62,400) before GST; $53,249 (S$68,016) with GST | whole course |
| Room in an HDB flat | $705–1,957 (S$900–2,500) a month | Curtin estimate |
| Room in a private apartment | $1,096–2,036 (S$1,400–2,600) a month | Curtin estimate |
| Studio or one-bedroom flat | $2,036–2,740 (S$2,600–3,500) a month | Curtin estimate |
Because the degree takes two years, the total cost is often lower than a three-year degree in Australia, but rent in Singapore is high. A shared HDB room is the realistic option for most students; a private lease also asks for a one-month deposit, a month's rent upfront and often an agent's commission.
Curtin Singapore lists a 25% Academic Scholarship and a 30% Merit Scholarship for international students on diploma, bachelor and master's programmes, and a 50% Tech Scholarship for the Bachelor of Computing (Cyber Security) and selected technology masters. Awards are deducted from each trimester instalment, are limited in number and require you to act as a student ambassador; they do not combine with other Curtin awards.
Singapore's private education graduate survey gives an honest picture: 43.2% of Curtin Singapore graduates surveyed in 2025 were in full-time permanent employment, with a median gross monthly salary of S$3,350 ($2,623). The numbers are better for students who arrive with internships and a plan for a Ministry of Manpower work pass sponsored by an employer.
Accounting graduates can continue towards CPA Australia, CA ANZ or ACCA membership, and the Global Scholars Program lets you finish the degree in Perth if Australia is the long-term goal.
The bachelor's degrees are Curtin University awards, shown with course codes such as BCom(Curtin), and Curtin Singapore teaches them in Singapore. The accounting major carries the same professional accreditations listed on the course page, including CPA Australia, CA ANZ and ACCA.
For international students the published total tuition for the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting major) is $48,852 (S$62,400) before GST, or $53,249 (S$68,016) including 9% GST, paid over six trimester instalments. Curtin notes that fees are indicative and rise annually.
The Bachelor of Commerce and the Bachelor of Computing (Cyber Security) take two years full-time over six trimesters. The same Bachelor of Commerce is a three-year degree at Curtin Perth, so the Singapore schedule is denser with shorter breaks.
The Bachelor of Commerce requires IELTS Academic 6.0 overall with at least 6.0 in every band. Curtin College diploma pathways accept lower scores, starting from 5.5 overall.
The Bachelor of Commerce starts in February, July and November; the Bachelor of Computing (Cyber Security) starts in February and July. Check the academic calendar on the course page before planning visa and housing.
Curtin Singapore helps international students find HDB flats, private apartments or hostels near campus. Its estimate for a single room is $705–2,036 (S$900–2,600) a month.
Yes, through the Global Scholars Program: you complete 200 credits (about eight months) in Singapore and then transfer to Curtin Perth without re-applying. It is open for the Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Computing (Cyber Security).
